I've been getting a lot of questions about stretch goals and I've got some fun stuff planned. I've been talking with the manufacturers of our custom webbing and it looks like we can get a couple standard color options very easily.
I've also been talking with our Carbon Fiber suppliers and it's fairly easy to get carbon fiber with some different designs. I've been looking at some swatches of various patterns and materials and there are some really great looking ones.
This is going to be an amazing project! I'm really excited and eager to get this new belt to you!

We just got the word back from our webbing manufacturer and it looks like the lead times to get the webbing made is between 6 - 8 weeks. That really seems like a long time to me, but those are fairly typical time frames for manufacturing. In an effort to get the belts to you as soon as possible, we are placing the order today.
We've been getting a lot of questions about additional strap colors to be offered. Fortunately, we have a couple standard color options that we can offer and it won't cost us extra. I am putting together the pictures of those color options and we plan on having you backers choose the colors for those stretch goals. I'll update you soon about all of that.

Hi Backers! Time is flying and we're 2/3 of the way through this project. We're also more than half way to the next stretch goal. It's looking like "Labyrinth" is pulling ahead in the race.

As we get closer to the end of the campaign, I am doing everything I can to make sure things progress as quickly and as smoothly as possible. After talking with my Carbon Fiber manufacturer, we decided to start a run of 500 buckles right now to help iron out the process and give us a good idea of how quickly we can produce the remainder of the buckles. They say the first run of 500 will be done on Dec 23rd. That's the day the Kickstarter ends.
We are also laying down a few sections of the "Labyrinth" pattern and the "Aluminized Fiberglass" on the carbon fiber tubes so we can cut out a few of those buckles and see how they turn out. With any luck, I'll be able to post pictures of the buckles right after the Kickstarter gets funded.
I contacted our webbing manufacturer a while ago to find out realistic timeframes on the production of our straps. They have to special order the material for the webbing and it takes several weeks. I decided to get that started early as well. They have given me a date of Jan 13th for the straps to be finished and shipped.
I've been getting a lot of questions about sizing and selection lately, so I thought I would try to clarify this. Everyone will be able to select their belt size and style/colors, but this won't happen until after the Kickstarter ends. Once the campaign is over on Dec 23rd, I'll do a little dance and take it easy for a day or two and spend some time with my family. After that, I'll be working on the survey to send out to all of you backers. When you receive your survey (likely a couple weeks later), you can select from the available strap colors and sizes. We will custom cut them any size you need between 28" and 50". I'll explain the sizing in greater detail later. You will also have the option to upgrade your order if you want to toss in an extra strap, buckle or something.
I added a small section to the main page on how to add extras beyond your reward level. Kickstarter only allows backers to choose a single reward level, but if you wanted just an extra buckle or strap it's easy. Just pledge an extra amount for the extra things you want. For example if I got a single belt for $59 and I want to add an extra buckle, I would add $40 to get the buckle. So my reward level would be the Carbonite, but my pledge would be for $99 (plus shipping). An extra buckle is $40 and a strap is $19.
